Roman Headrail Motor Setting Instructions

When you receive your Roman Headrail, DO NOT POWER ON THE MOTOR until you have the blind attached and you are ready to pair it.If your remote has a TIMER then see instruction for setting the timer in the handset box.

PAIRING MOTOR TO REMOTE When you are ready to pair it, have your remote ready with the P2 button visable (see image) on the back.Power on the blind and the motor will shunt, press P2 on the remote and the motor will shunt again. Then press P2 again and the motor will shunt.Then press the up button on the front of the remote, the motor will shunt. Repeat the process, P2 followed by pressing the up button 3 times, allowing the motor to shunt between each stage. IE. P2-shunt-P2-shunt-up-shunt-P2-shunt-up-shunt-P2 shunt.When you have the first blind paired and the travel set, power off that blind before pairing the second and subsiquent blinds. When pairing and setting motors only have that particular blind powered up.

SETTING THE LIMITS The motor and the remote control are now paired. The blind will now travel up, allow it to travel until the desired height, push the centre button to stop the blind and then press and hold the centre button and the motor should shunt. the top limit is now set. If the motor does not shunt try again. Now press the down button untill the desired drop, press the centre button to stop the blind and then press and hold the centre button until the motor shunt. Now the limits are set, top and bottom.

CHANGING LIMITS If you wish to change the limits on your blind simply press P2 on the remote, followed by up, twice. IE. P2-shunt-up-shunt-P2-shunt-up. When you get to the desired position, press middle button to stop and then press middle button and hold until the motor shunts. The blind limits are now reset.

Operating All Blinds at one time If you have more than one blind you can set them to travel together by selecting channel 0 after all the blinds have been paired.

CHANGING DIRECTION OF TRAVEL If for any reason you wish to change the direction of travel, then just press the button in the end of the motor (see image) for two shunts and the travel will change direction.

RESET MOTOR TO FACTORY SETTING. If the blind is not operting as it should, you can set the motor back to factory mode and start the pair again. There is small button in the end of the motor (see image), press and hold this button for 3 shunts and it will be back in factory mode.

SETTING THE THIRD POSITION(optional) Move the blind up or down to the desired third position ( example, halfway up the window), press the P2 buton once, press the stop button (middle button) twice, the motor will shut for confirmation. If you press the middle button for more than 3 seconds the blind will travel to the preset position. 

COPYING FIRST REMOTE TO A SECOND REMOTE Take the programmed first remote and press P2 twice, then take the second remote and press P2 once, the settings will copy. So you can two seperate remotes operting the same blinds from different parts of the house.
