How to identify the difference between a 1:1 Roman Drive and a 1:4

Identifying which drive is fitted to your Tulip Roman Headrail can be challenging as there are no manufacturer markings on them to help you differentiate whether you have 1:1, 1:4, 1:1 EasySafe PullAway Drive or a 1:4 EasySafe PullAway Drive.

How to identify if I have a Standard or a PullAway Drive?

Our EasySafe Pullaway drives are longer in comparison our standard drives and have a quick release cog, where our standard drives are shorter and the cog is fixed inside the drive.

How to identify if I have a 1:1 or 1:4 ratio drive.

This can be the most difficult task as both the 1:1 and 1:4 Standard Drives and the 1:1 and 1:4 EasySafe PullAway drives look almost physically identical to each other. The easiest way to distinguish is to view the end of the casing (highlighted in purple border on the image above).  If it's an "off-white" or a "milky-white", it means that your drive is a 1:1 ratio; this rule goes for both our 1:1 and 1:1 EasySafe PullAway drives.

If the end of the casing is solid white (and matching the rest of the casing), then your drive is a 1:4 ratio drive and this rule goes for both our 1:4 and 1:4 EasySafe PullAway drives.
